One of the world's best escape artists, Robert Gallup, duplicates Houdini's near fatal Queen St. Bridge Jump Escape. (See description below, and video clips to the right.)
Description: Inspired by his mentor, Gallup will often
attempt to recreate some of Houdinis most death-defying escape
challenges. One such challenge was Houdinis famous Queen St. Bridge
Jump Escape in Melbourne, Australia. From the very same bridge,
ninety years after Houdinis near fatal attempt, Gallup was handcuffed,
arm manacled and leg chained by the Victoria Police and thrown
into the frigid river below. This and other Houdini inspired death-defying
escapes are featured in Roberts prime-time special currently airing
on the USA Network, "Gallup Extreme Magic: Live on Tour".
